The other day we took a trip to our local botanical garden, which we’d actually never explored before. It’s always satisfying to broaden your turf especially when it’s so beautiful. And how calming to walk the paths and see such magnificent specimens from all around the globe in their springtime bloom. It reminds me how powerful, creative, delicate and occasionally humorous nature is, not to mention the experts who groom and grow this seemingly wild place. Really we have to be thankful for such beauty and stillness in such a crazed world. Places like this remind me how important it is to take time to meander the world at a slow pace and just consume with your senses. We’ll be back soon, perhaps with some books and a picnic, no particular schedule in mind.
