When we moved into our house it was all freshly painted with a dull and slightly dingy cream. A blank pallet, a fresh start of sorts on our walls felt good. But we've lived here for almost 4 years now and it's long past due for us to put our stamp of character onto the house. I've been looking at the using paint from green manufacturer YOLO, with rich colors pallets and zero-voc. I love all their earthy blues but perhaps a little too much for our small house. I'll get some of their poster sized samples to tell... color here we come.
Next, it's on to the couch. Dear sage velvet pull out, you've served us well but I'm so sick of you and your greenness. I'm also tired of finding cat hair and yogurt ground into the couch. So I'm searching around for leather couches, which seem to be all the rage with a few other parents we know. But really leather, can I do leather? Is it cozy? This brown one from IKEA is the beginning of a short list.
